About LexGame
LexGame is the video games and esports legal team at Beijing Youlan Law Firm. The team was founded by Zicong Wang and brings together lawyers and other professionals with backgrounds in intellectual property, entertainment law, online services compliance and cross-border legal work.
We advise game developers, publishers and rights holders on commercial transactions, compliance and dispute resolution throughout development, publishing and live operations. We also assist overseas businesses with the legal issues involved in releasing, operating and protecting games in mainland China, and Chinese game businesses expanding into other markets. Where a matter involves the law of another jurisdiction, we coordinate with counsel in the relevant jurisdiction as appropriate.

Identifying the Legal Issues
We assess the project against the requirements that apply in mainland China, including publication and content requirements, contracts, intellectual property, data protection and the protection of minors, and explain how each issue may affect the release.
Supporting Implementation
We support implementation through contract drafting and negotiation, IP licensing, compliance documentation, and coordination with local partners and, where a matter involves another jurisdiction, with counsel in that jurisdiction.
